METHOD AND DEVICE OF MONITORING OF WEAR OF SLIDING ELECTRIC CONTACTS OF ROTATING CURRENT COLLECTOR FOR VEHICLES Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC H02P6/00

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method and the device of monitoring of wear of sliding electric contacts (4) (3) of the rotating current collector which is a part of the electrical machine (1) generating this current for a vehicle. According to the method on the electrical machine (1) in the current generation phase the data connected with the cyclic ratio of disconnection (CRD) obtained at the generated current are detected. The data connected with CRD detection are compared (15) with the preset CRD value and on the basis of the named comparison (15) the conclusion (16) is made on the condition of wear of the sliding electric contacts (4) with reference to the allowable wear thresholds. The alarm indication is generated in case when the condition of wear of the sliding electric contacts is achieved (4). After replacement of the sliding electric contacts (4) when detecting the value of the clock counter (18) tending to zero the alarm indication (24, 25) is disconnected.

EFFECT: technical result is reliability of detecting of wear of the sliding electric contacts.
