SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle transmission. Control over the clutch engaging of two wheel axles of all-wheel-drive comprises the diagnostics including the evaluation of transmission wear based on extreme events occurring in transmission operation to execute the control over the clutch subject to said diagnostics process. Note here that clutch mode is defined amount the following states: 4WD Auto - when a portion of maximum power is transmitted to the rear axle; 4WD Lock - when all power is transmitted to the rear axle; 2WD - when no torque or minor torque is transmitted to said rear axle. Vehicle transmission system first axle is driven on default while second axle is driven optionally subject to operating conditions of aforesaid clutch.
EFFECT: higher reliability of mechanical engagement.
