FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: thermit mixture containing scale, aluminium chips and modifying agents is prepared and loaded to a fire-resistant reservoir, activation is performed by ignition and a reducing reaction is implemented so that a liquid metal and slag is formed. With that, the thermit mixture is loaded to the fire-resistant reservoir in a continuous mode in the form of a continuous pressed rod with the installation in the centre of a steel or aluminium wire.
EFFECT: making steel of a homogeneous chemical composition in a continuous mode with an increased productivity.
