FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to direct-current high-voltage source (81), which is comprised of a set of capacitors with the first electrode (37) to which the first potential is applied, with the second electrode (39), which is placed concentrically to the first electrode and to which the second potential differing from the first one is applied, with several intermediate electrodes (33) placed concentrically towards each other, which are placed between the first electrode (37) and the second electrode (39) and may be brought to sequence of increasing stages of potential, which are placed between the first and second potential, a switching device (35) connected to electrodes (33, 37, 39) from a set of electrodes and which is made so that at operation of the switching device (35) electrodes (33, 37, 39) from the set of electrodes placed concentrically to each other may be brought to increasing stages of potential, at that distance between electrodes (33, 37, 39) from the set of capacitors is decreasing in direction towards the central electrode (37). Besides the invention is related to particle accelerator with similar direct-current high-voltage source.
EFFECT: increased voltage of the supply source and energy of charged particles.
