FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in the field of power engineering. The proposed method involves the stages, at which type of single-phase earth fault is determined when single-phase earth fault occurs in superhigh/ ultrahigh voltage double-circuit power line at common poles (S501); reactive impedance values are selected for reactor in neutral ground circuit depending on the type of single-phase earth fault (S502); and superhigh/ ultrahigh voltage double-circuit power line at common poles is switched to the selected value of reactive impedance for reactor in neutral ground circuit (S503). The reactive impedance value for reactor in neutral ground circuit is controlled and changed according to operating modes in power transmission line.
EFFECT: improved efficiency and reliability of limitation of secondary-arc current occurring in result of single-phase earth fault.
