FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing 1-S-trimethylsilyl-2-(N,N-diethylamino)ethane via silylation of the thiol group in 2-diethylaminoethanethiol hydrochloride with hexamethyldisilazane in molar ratio of reactants (2-diethylaminoethanethiol hydrochloride:hexamethyldisilazane) of 3:2 in a chloroform medium. The method enables to obtain 1-S-trimethylsilyl-2-(N,N-diethylamino)ethane with good output, which can be used as a thiiylation agent for synthesis of products of decomposition of an analogue of substance Vx (O-isobutyl-S-2-(N,N-(diethylamino)ethylthiol ester of methylsulphonic acid) when producing state standard samples of the composition thereof, used for metrological support of the process of destroying chemical weapons.
