LOW-VISCOSITY POLYURETHANEACRYLATE DISPERSIONS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C08G18/08 C08G18/62 C08G18/67 C09D175/04

Abstract RU 2552629 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the conversion of radiation-curable polyurethaneacrylates into polyurethaneacrylate aqueous dispersions. Described is a method of obtaining radiation-curable polyurethaneacrylate aqueous dispersions, based on polyurethaneacrylates (i), containing as structural components: A) one or several polymer compounds, selected from the group, including polyester(meth)acrylates, polyether(meth)acrylates, polyether/ester(meth)acrylates, unsaturated polyesters with structural units of allyl ethers and polyepoxy(meth)acrylates with the hydroxyl number in the interval from 15 to 300 mg KOH/g of the substance, C) one or several different from A) compounds, which contain, at least, one group which is reactionable with respect to isocyanate, D) one or several organic polyisocyanates, E) one or several compounds, containing, at least, one hydroxyl functional group and additionally, at least, one functional group of carboxylic acid or carboxylate functional group, which produce a dispersing impact on the polyurethane composition, F) different from A)-E) compounds, which contain, at least, one group, which is reactionable with respect to isocyanate, with A)-D) components being converted at the first reaction stage into polyurethaneacrylate, which does not contain either ionic or potentially ionic groups, after the determination of the content of the isocyanate groups obtained is a NCO-index, which can be different from the theoretical content of the isocyanate groups by an absolute value up to 1.5 wt %; at the second reaction stage component E) is converted with the still free isocyanate groups of A)-D) interaction product, after the re-determination of the content of the isocyanate groups, the NCO-index is brought to a value, which can be different from the theoretical content of the isocyanate groups by an absolute value to 1.5 wt %, at the third reaction stage component F) is converted with the still free isocyanate groups. Also described is the application of water dispersions based on polyurethaneacrylates for obtaining coatings, varnishes and glues.

EFFECT: obtaining the radiation-curable aqueous dispersions, based on polyurethaneacrylates, possessing low initial viscosity.
