FIELD: physics, signalling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for detecting a foreign object placed near input means used for identification and/or authorisation. The device includes at least a coupler. The coupler is configured to transmit an oscillating signal to two input contacts of an antenna to obtain a standing wave, to transmit an oscillating signal with a predefined level to the detecting device and to branch a reflected signal received by the antenna into the detecting device. The coupler is also configured to determine the phase difference between the transmitted oscillating signal with a predefined level and a reflected signal which is branched in order to detect a foreign object.
EFFECT: high reliability.
