FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacture and preparation of specimens and preparation of solutions. Besides, the method involves initiating heating of specimens, exposure of the latter in a working solution at the specified temperature and duration and assessment of corrosion resistance by bending of specimens. Initiating heating is performed only on some part of specimens, and specimens without any initiating heating are tested in an as-received state. Then, resistance against IGC of all the test specimens is assessed by a gravimetric method, penetration rate of corrosion is calculated and penetration rates of corrosion of specimens are compared to initiating heating in the as-received state as well. Besides, assessment of corrosion resistance is performed by means of a metallographic method. Assessment of test results of specimens for resistance against IGC is performed by bending the specimens through 90° to determine cracks and by means of a metallographic method. Besides, there performed is assessment of resistance of specimens subject to initiating heating and specimens in the as-received state by a gravimetric method and investigation of a microstructure of specimens after the test.
