SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile radio communication. The mobile phone number checking method comprises: storing the mobile phone number and the corresponding number of a subscriber mobile phone identification code in the checking device database. There goes a receiving mobile phone number check request receiving by the check device. As a response to the request, an IMSI request is sent, asking for the subscriber identification code, registered together with the mobile phone number in the reference location register. After the said code is received by the checking device, the latter compares the stored code to the received one. If these two coincide, the message exchange service or service of positioning relative to the mobile phone number is initiated.
EFFECT: better security of the third party service using the message exchange or positioning.
