SUBSTANCE: central database (CDB), which communicates with the EIR of each operator and transfers to them all the necessary data that they should use when checking IMEI; at the same time, the EIR of each operator is configured in such a way that it unconditionally accepts these data and uses them in the same way in its work; and the CDB is integrated with systems from which IMEI data is received in the CDB; TAC-codes of the GSM Association; IMSI; MSISDN; collect similar data from subscribers and, depending on the presence or absence of this data in the CDB, identify them as legal or counterfeit, respectively. In the latter case, their use in the cellular networks of mobile devices is stopped.
EFFECT: increased degree of control over registration of mobile devices in cellular networks.
