FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing thin lead sulphide films which are active in the near-infrared band, the method including depositing from an aqueous solution a mixture of lead acetate and thiocarbonic acid diamide in the presence of sodium citrate and sodium hydroxide. The starting components are taken in ratio of lead acetate:thiocarbonic acid diamide:sodium citrate:sodium hydroxide = 1:1-2:0.1-2:10-8. Deposition is carried out at 20-35°C for 10-50 minutes.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain nanostructured thin lead sulphide films which are active in the near-infrared band, widens the operating spectral range and enables to obtain a band-gap in a predetermined range by obtaining films with a predetermined particle size.
