FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: nanocrystalline powder of silver sulphide is obtained by precipitation from aqueous solution of the mixture of silver nitrate and sodium sulphide in the presence of sodium citrate at a temperature of 20-35°C for 5-60 minutes with component ratio of silver nitrate: sodium sulphide: sodium citrate of 1:0.5÷10:0.1÷2.
EFFECT: method is characterised with its simplicity and enables to obtain single-phase impurity-free nanocrystalline powders of silver sulphide with a narrow particle distribution in size in a pre-specified range of 20 to 500 nm.
