FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plate separator intended for separation of fluid drops from fluid with liquid phase. Said separator comprises at least two vertical plates spaced apart to make a fluid channel there between. Fluid drops are separated at said channel plates. Settler is arranged above said plates to receive fluid separated from fluid with liquid phase. Said settler has at least one separation wall to divide it into several parts. Said plates are partially corrugated and directed in parallel. Several shields extend in the flow channel from at least one of said plates and are directed opposite said flow (S) to make traps for separation of drops. Several undercut plates extending from one plate make the cavities directed along the flow (S) to make said undercut plates overlapped over preset length on outer sides directed from the plate by said shields directed opposite said flow (S) to make labyrinth separation system for separation of fluid drops. Said undercut plates are fitted at first half of said plate along flow (S).
EFFECT: ruled out fluid swirling in settler.
