FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM IN VERTICAL TANKS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A62C31/12 

FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: on telescopic hoist outside the tank a foam generator is fixedly installed and the hose is brought, which is connected to the supply pipeline and the tanks with the foaming agent and water. In the lower part the telescopic hoist mounted on the support is connected to the piston, which is in the cylinder. On the foundation the movement limiting device of the telescopic hoist is mounted. In the upper part of the links of the telescopic hoist there are seals and stoppers. To the cylinder with the piston and the telescopic hoist the air duct is brought for air supply, which is connected to the cylinders filled with compressed air. Outside the vertical steel tanks below the level of soil freezing two horizontal tanks of suitable capacity are mounted, one of which is filled with water and the other - with the foaming agent. The tanks are sealed and interconnected by the air-duct. At that the pipeline connecting the tank with the foaming agent with the supply pipeline has a metering device. The cylinder with compressed air is connected to the air duct and the tank for water and the foaming agent. The cylinder with compressed air is equipped with a pressure regulator and a crane-squib. In the upper part of the vertical steel tanks the sensors of pressure and temperature are mounted which are connected to the crane-squib and have an autonomous power supply system (e.g., batteries).

EFFECT: increase in reliability of fire fighting of oil products in vertical steel tanks with any type of roof without human involvement.
