FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to firefighting equipment. Foam generator comprises casing, distributing and guiding devices. Said casing represents cylindrical shell with annular stiffness ribs mounted on two horizontal support plates with fastening holes. Foam solution distributor is secured to said casing by means of, at least, three spokes arranged along generating lines of truncated-cone surface axially symmetric about cylindrical shell. Larger base of said surface represents casing shell base while smaller base represents foam solution distributor of toroidal surface connected with inlet pipeline with flange and plug on opposite ends. Inlet pipeline divides said toroidal surface into two symmetric parts. Additional pipeline, plugged at both ends, is arranged perpendicular to inlet pipeline and aligned with horizontal axis of said toroidal surface. Diameters of inner cavities of toroidal surface and both pipelines are equal, said cavities being communicated. Branch pipes are jointed to said inner cavities on the side of cylindrical shell. Guiding device consists of inner and outer generating screens made up of aligned truncated-cone surfaces. Note here that inner generating screen is provided with second stiff round ring jointed with first stiff ring by, at least, three spokes. Every spray nozzle consists of case housing two axially symmetric restricting orifices. cylindrical and conic.
