FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: thin-film flexible electric heater containing a resistive element located between two flexible heat-resistant electrically insulating films bonded to each other and provided with conductor wires has a resistive element in the form of a multi-layered ion-plasma metal coating applied onto the inner surface of one of the bonded films. The metal coating has a thickness of each layer, which is equal to (5…300) nm, and has specific electrical resistance within (535…20)·10-8 Ohm·m, as well as the metal coating has a thickness within (1…40) mcm and it is made in the form of a zigzag-shaped straight-line end strips connected to each other on ends of strips via copper adapters, except for the ends to which conductor wires are attached.
EFFECT: invention allows simplifying a structure and reducing labour input for manufacture of an electric heater, enlarging its functional capabilities at manufacture of small-sized low-duty electric heaters, reducing its thickness and weight, and reducing its manufacturing cost.
