FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electric heater comprises a body and a flexible resistive element based on coal graphite materials arranged between layers of electric insulation materials. The flexible resistive element is made in the form of a resistive cloth with adhesive strips applied onto its surface. The honeycomb structure of the heating element is made by folding of the cloth into a packet, adhesion of packet layers, so that adhesive strips are arranged in staggered order, and by tension of the packet to form a cellular honeycomb structure, besides, rigidity of the heating element is provided by fixation of the packet in the stretched condition, by application of an electric insulation coating onto the packet surface, hardening of the coating and further fixation of the heating element in the body of a convector with application of glue or mechanically.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a more manufacturable and cheaper electric heater, with high reliability and high various technical characteristics, with high fire and electric safety.
