FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas cleaning by adsorbents, particularly, to gas-cleaning equipment and can be used in chemical industry, metallurgy, etc for cleaning of gas mixing. Adsorber comprises vertical housing divided by perforated zigzag-like webs to sections to make alternating staggered confusers and diffusers, top and bottom grates and gas feed and discharge pipes. Note here that gas feed pipe is composed of converging truncated cone with helical grooves made at its inner surface. Note here that grooves are shaped to dovetail. Note also that discharge openings are uniformly arranged in direction from gas feed pipe larger base to its smaller base at horizontal level between said helical grooves. The latter feature identical diameter at one horizontal level and increasing at the next horizontal levels as purified gas moves from gas feed pipe larger base to its smaller base. Note that top grate represents a split design and consists of fixed upper part with moving lower part. Mind that linkage between upper and lower parts is flexible and composed of springs secured at their edges. Said holes in top grate are composed of telescopic cylinders. Mind that inner diameters of top part cylinders are 2.0-2.5 times larger than outer diameters of cylinders of upper grate bottom part. Inner surface of vertical housing is coated with heat-insulating heat-accumulating ply composed of bundles of stretched basalt fibres covering the surface from has feed pipe to gas discharge pipe.
EFFECT: lower power input owing to application of adsorption heat accumulated by housing at gas drying.
