SUBSTANCE: in the invention the device is disclosed, which is made capable of detection of a physical value, for instance, density, of a moving fluid medium, at the same time the device includes: a body (2) of the sensor made as capable of stretching into a moving fluid medium, at the same time the sensor body comprises a fibre Bragg grating (FBG) of the sensor (3, 7, FBG) on the basis of the fibre Bragg grating for generation of a detector signal related to oscillation of at least a part (2B) of the sensor body (2); and a processing unit made as capable of processing of the detector signal and determination of the physical value on the basis of the detected oscillation at the frequency of internal mechanical oscillations of the flexible part (2B) of the sensor body (2).
