FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: vortex flow meter comprises a tube, a vortal bluff body installed upstream in a flow channel and creating vortex oscillations in a flow of a liquid medium. The vortex flow meter also comprises a unit perceiving vortices and comprising a membrane, a plate of a sensor of vortex oscillations, a rotary stand and an electronic circuit. The membrane seals a hole in a side wall to form an isolating chamber. The unit is made as capable of sealing a hole in the side wall of the flow channel. The plate of the sensor of vortex oscillations has a proximal layer resting against the membrane, the opposite distal layer without a support, and edges arranged upstream and downstream and supported with support stands that limit beating of plate edges arranged upstream and downstream. The rotary stand stretches along the central area of the plate of the sensor of vortex oscillations and via the membrane to send vortex oscillations from the plate of the sensor of vortex oscillations to the sensor. The electronic circuit of the transmitter receives an output signal from the sensor and provides for an output signal related to the liquid medium flow. In the other version of vortex flow meter realisation the plate of the sensor of vortex oscillations, supports protrude into a flow channel.

EFFECT: reduced weight and increased stiffness help to increase internal resonant frequency of reading, causing wider frequency range of reading and improved signal in respect to a noise ratio, limitation of undesirable beating of plate edges of a sensor of vortex oscillations, and thus increased accuracy of measurements.
