FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to a method of diagnosing liver disorders in people, such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and liver fibrosis, as well as to a machine-readable carrier, containing a set of instructions for control of a device for measuring metabolites in order to realise diagnostics. The diagnostics is carried out by the determination of acetaminophen (APAP)-glucoronide in a plasma sample and/or urine sample, obtained from a human subject after the introduction of acetaminophen (APAP) to the human subject, where the subject has a risk of the liver disorder; comparison of the obtained quantity of (APAP)-glucoronide with the control; identification of the subject as suffering from NASH or liver fibrosis in case of increased levels of APAP-glucoronide in one or both plasma samples and urine samples in comparison with the control.
