FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: in the method of producing structural thermoplastic carbon fibre reinforced plastic the prepreg is formed by drying the filler, coating it with polyphenylene sulphide binder and impregnating it with the said binder, the prepreg layers are formed and a package collected from them, it is placed between the plates of the mould, preheated at a temperature above the melting point of the binder, the said package is pressed at a temperature above the melting point of the binder, and the resulting carbon fibre reinforced plastic is cooled under pressure. At that polyphenylene sulphide binder under pressure of compressed air is brought into the fluidized state, it is applied to the filler, the package of layers of prepreg is placed between the plates of the mould, preheated to a temperature 10-35°C above the melting point of the binder, air is removed from the said package. Then it is pressed at a temperature 30-50°C above the melting point temperature of the binder, in three stages: the first stage is carried out at a pressure of 1.7-2.1 MPa, the second stage - at a pressure of 2.3-2.7 MPa, a third stage - at a pressure of 2.8-3.2 MPa. The duration of each step is 8-25 minutes, after pressing the package the press plates are cooled at a pressure of 1.7-3.2 MPa.

EFFECT: decrease in density with increasing the mechanical properties of thermoplastic carbon fibre reinforced plastic, based on polyphenylene sulphide.
