FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of composite articles from carbon-fiber reinforced plastic and fiberglass by heat forming, specifically to an automated process of making articles from reinforced composites with a thermoplastic binder, and is intended for use in production of articles for aircraft, ship, automotive and construction industries, as well as sports equipment. Method is carried out using a system comprising a loading bogie installed in a process sequence, an oven, in the cover of which there are heating elements, robot manipulator and hydraulic press with loading table. According to the method, a thermoplastic polymer reinforced with fiber is placed into a mold. Mold with thermoplastic material is placed on loading bogie. Cart is moved under cover of furnace, cover with heating elements is lowered on bogie with billet. Furnace is used to heat workpiece to melting point of thermoplastic prepreg polymer. After the workpiece heating, the furnace cover is lifted and the loading bogie with the workpiece is moved by means of a robotic manipulator to the loading table of the hydraulic press. Loading table is moved into working zone of press. Parts are molded in hydraulic press. Then part is cooled, it is removed from mold and machined.
EFFECT: obtaining articles from composite materials with a thermoplastic binder using an automated method which reduces labor intensity of work, improves efficiency and improves accuracy of parts manufacturing.
