FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy. The unit for hydrostatic compaction of powder contains the container with the working chamber for powder placement in an elastic cover, with a cover and a lock, the vessel with liquid located from outer side of the container, the device for buildup of high pressure of liquid in the working chamber with pressure control and relieve system. In the container the partition is installed which has the valve for liquid and forms a working chamber and a cavity in the lower part of the container where the device for creation of high pressure of liquid in the working chamber consisting of the mobile and fixed parts connected among themselves by springs isolated from the container housing and connected to a high voltage source with metal plates is placed in the container. The named mobile part is placed with formation between it and the partition of the cavity for liquid, the working chamber and the named cavity for liquid are connected by means of valves with a vessel for liquid.
EFFECT: decrease of energy consumption of the unit, simplification of its design, and also decrease of metal consumption.
