SUBSTANCE: document comprises a substrate and a protective element comprising the first and the second structures contained on the substrate. The substrate also comprises a region which is translucent or even transparent, and within which the first and second structures are located at least partially. The first and the second structures within the transparent area when the document is viewed in reflected light have at least the first and the second colours, respectively, and when the document is viewed in transmitted light, a mutual change of the said first and second colours occurs.
