FIELD: protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: object of the present invention is a multilayer protective element (2) which contains a flat and transparent or translucent substrate (21), characterized in that one of the opposite sides of said substrate (21) is coated with the following successive layers: a) layer (22) with variable optical effect, i.e. layer which, when observing the substrate, creates at least one change in appearance visually perceptible with the naked eye depending on the viewing conditions; b) a dark opaque layer (23) having at least one laced element (230); c) semi-reflective layer (24), i.e. a layer which is reflective during observation of substrate (21) in reflected light and which is transparent when observing the substrate through light transmission, wherein said semi-reflective layer (24) is present at least opposite part of said openwork element (230); d) visible layer (25), i.e. a layer visible both in reflected light and due to light transmission, present at least partially directly opposite region (s), where semi-reflecting layer (24) is present.
EFFECT: disclosed are a security element and a security document.
