FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for establishing a possibility of thermal alignment of different structural steels in cladded products and can be used in organisations of power industry, in design and scientific and research organisations at design and manufacture of power equipment. In order to provide compatibility of structural steels of the cladded product, the method involves preparation of standards from each steel, their thermocycling, as per the results of which residual voltages of the first kind are calculated after the corresponding temperatures of thermocycling. Relationships between residual voltages of the first kind and temperature of thermocycling for each standard and ultimate strength σB for each of the considered steel are determined. Difference modulus of residual voltages of the first kind of standards is compared at operating temperature of the product to the minimum value of ultimate strength σB at the same temperature. As per results, thermal compatibility of structural steels used in the cladded product is determined, for which difference modulus of residual voltages of the first kind at the thermocycling temperature of standards shall be lower than the minimum value of ultimate strength σB values.
