FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in power industry enterprises, in development of power equipment and survey of new grades of steel. In the method samples of boiler equipment element are prepared, then they are heated, temperature measurements results are graphically processed and based on established dependencies operation temperature value is determined. Prepared samples are subjected to two thermo-cycling procedures, based on which elementary crystal lattice linear thermal expansions factors are calculated. Results of thermo-cycling are graphically processed in coordinates of "elementary crystal lattice linear thermal expansions factor - temperature". Safe temperature ranges are determined by two obtained dependences, based on which while considering the gradient boiler equipment element operating temperature value is established.
EFFECT: such method will allow to reduce time of boiler equipment optimum operating temperature determination.
