FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in supply of cold liquid into the housing of electrode heating unit and its heating. The liquid heating is conducted by creation and maintenance of burning of low-temperature plasma. Burning of plasma is conducted in the closed non-flowing volume of liquid of the intermediate heat exchanger, and heating of liquid is conducted by flowing of walls of the heat exchanger at its passing through the internal circulating system. The device for conversion of electric energy into heat energy, implemented in the form of the electrode heating unit containing the housing fitted with inlet and outlet branch pipes, electrode system. The device contains the closed heat exchanger with liquid placed inside the housing and forming by its walls and walls of the housing the internal circulating system. The electrode system is located in liquid of the closed heat exchanger and includes the separate isolated electrode and the housing walls. The internal circulating system is implemented as two closed cavities placed in the housing connected to each other by means of the diffuser.
EFFECT: invention allows to improve performance of electrode direct heating units.
