FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: thrust bearing contains bearing plate installed on the shaft with possibility of rotation together with shaft and acceptance the axial force from the shaft side and without possibility of rotation relatively to it, the bearing plate containing self-setting segments and made with possibility to accept the axial force from the bearing plate side. The bearing plate support surface and support surface of the centre plate comprising support surfaces of the segments, contain hard facing, in particular, out of tungsten carbide with binding out of cobalt or tungsten carbide with binding out of nickel, at that the support surface of the bearing plate by the hard facing is in contact with the hard facing of the support surface of the centre plate created by the segments and creating friction pair. The support surface of the bearing plate and the support surface of the centre plate made by the segments contain hard facing with thickness 0.1-1.0 mm and over each. Segments contain the hydrodynamic slopes.

EFFECT: increased operation reliability of the thrust bearing, increased overhaul period and operation durability of the thrust bearing by means of creation of the thrust bearing structure operable at increased axial loads, rotation speeds of the shaft and work ambient temperature.
