FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: support assembly has base with integral radial bearing, casing, head with integral radial bearing, connected in series, shaft, support sections located along the shaft axis, each of them has bearing plate installed on shaft with possibility of rotation together with the shaft and to accept axial force from the shaft side, and without rotation relatively to it, the footstep made with possibility to accept the axial force from footstep side, and secured in the casing. The support surface of the bearing plate and support surface of the centre plate contain hard facing, in particular, out of tungsten carbide with binding out of cobalt or tungsten carbide with binding out of nickel, at that the support surface of the bearing plate by the hard facing is in contact with the hard facing of the support surface of the centre plate created by the segments and creating friction pair. The support surface of the bearing plate and the support surface of the centre plate contain hard facing with thickness 0.1mm - 1.0mm and over each. The bearing plate of the support section at side opposite to the support surface with hard facing has the elastic element installed on the shaft. The centre plate is made in form of casing with support surface in contact with the bearing plate creating the friction pair, and interfaced with it base, wherein the surface of the centre plate casing opposite to the support surface is made spherical or torus-like, and interfaced with it base surface of the centre plate is made cone or spherical.
EFFECT: increased lifting capacity support assembly, increased operation reliability, increased overhaul period and operation durability by means of creation of the support assembly structure operable at increased axial loads, rotation speeds of the shaft and work ambient temperature.
