FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heat-curable fire-resistant hybrid resin based on reactive compounds, which can be used as fire-resistant binder in polymer composite materials. The invention can be used in chemical, construction, aviation, automobile and other industries. A composition based on liquid low-molecular weight siloxane polymer - siloxane oligomer [CH3SiO0.75(OCH3)1.5], which includes a boron-containing compound. The boron-containing compound is a boric acid oligomer obtained by heat treatment of boric acid at 220-230°C for 3-4 hours, wherein content of the boric acid oligomer in the composition is 10-20 wt % of the amount of the siloxane oligomer. Said boric acid oligomer is soluble in the siloxane oligomer [CH3SiO0.75(OCH3)1.5]. The composition turns into solid state at 110-150°C.
EFFECT: heat-curable fire-resistant hybrid resin is characterised by low content of the organic component, which increases its heat resistance and reduces combustibility, reduces the amount of volatile thermal decomposition products; the cured resin is also characterised by high moisture resistance.
