FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of polyethylene terephthalate wastes for use in chemical industry. Polymer composition is prepared in a heated reactor with a mixer in an inert gas medium. Milled wastes of secondary polyethylene terephthalate (PETP) and low-molecular amine, such as triethylene tetramine (TETA) or polyethylene polyamine (PEPA), are loaded into the reactor. Mixture is melted at 190–210 °C for 1–2 hours and cooled down to 20–25 °C. Components are taken at the following ratio, pts. wt.: said PETP – 5–20, said amine – 80–95. Liquid with viscosity of 0.116 to 74.8 Pa·s is obtained.
EFFECT: invention provides utilization of PETP wastes to obtain oligomer compositions for making foamed plastic and cast articles, as well as for modifying epoxy resins.
