SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of processing images displayed on electronic devices. Disclosed is a method of displaying an image of a decorative coating with textural and colour properties using measured colour data and measured textural data as input data for generating an image. The method includes a step of generating a grayscale image using the measured colour data and the measured textural data, wherein the textural properties are selected from: scattered roughness, glare effect or combination thereof. Further, the generated grayscale textured image is converted into a textured image. The textured image is also displayed with visual colour properties, which are maintained at a predefined level independent of possible deviations in textural properties.
EFFECT: maintaining given colour properties of displayed images regardless of values of textural properties thereof.
