FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: electronic representation former is subject to calibration by means of measuring color signals at least of two calibrating colors. Colorimetric parameters of any calibrating colors are known before. Chosen color is measured by means of electronic representation forming device. Parameters for conversion of measured color signals of calibrating colors to known colorimetric data are calculated by means of mathematical model. Color signals of measured selected color are subject to conversion to colorimetric data and, by using data bank, formula of color is found which has colorimetric data to correspond closely to calculated colorimetric data of chosen measured color.
EFFECT: improved precision of measurement.
