SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of coating characteristics and relates to a computer system for calculating coating texture indicators. Computer system is configured to receive target texture variables of target coverage image, access to relative texture characteristics database, in which a set of texture characteristics dependences for plurality of coatings is stored, calculating correlation between texture variables of the target coating and texture data variables associated with the compared coating, and calculating based on the calculated correlation a set of relative texture characteristics for the target coating, which indicate relative differences in texture between target coating and compared coating. Each of the relative texture characteristics comprises an estimate on all angles of the target coating.

EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of measurement method and increase of reliability of obtained data.
