FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: application: in the field of power engineering. A four-phase five-wire power transmission line comprises a three-phase source of electric energy, a double-circuit power transmission line, at that each of its circuits consists of two wires, two three-phase transformers switched by their primary windings to the electric energy source and by their secondary windings to the power transmission line, and three-phase electric energy receivers coupled to the line through the three-phase transformers. At that along the four-phase line there is an additional grounded wire common for both circuits. One pair of the similar terminals of the secondary windings in both transformers coupled between the energy source and the line is interconnected and connected to the wire common for both circuits, the remaining two terminals of the transformer secondary windings are coupled to two phases of the circuits in the four-phase power transmission line - one with the first circuit while the other with the second one. Primary windings of the transformers coupled between the line circuits and loads are connected to a three-phase load, one of the secondary windings is connected to an additional wire of the line, two other windings - to one circuit of the line.
EFFECT: reduced losses of electrical energy and voltage as well as reduced costs for the line construction.
