FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for one-sided determination of distance to fault point on three-phase current lines. Essence: measuring time between occurrence of front of current or voltage wave without zero component and occurrence of current wave or zero component voltage. Distance to damage point is defined as ratio of measured time to difference of inverse values of current wave or zero component voltage and current or voltage wave without zero component.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the damage point determining accuracy.
