FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to DC arc welding by consumable electrodes. Rectifier comprises transformer with primary connected to supply circuit and two secondaries. One of the latter is connected to asymmetric thyristor-diode rectifier bridge while another one is connected to control unit. Cutoff diodes are connected in series with thyristors of rectifier bridge. Commutating capacitor is connected in between connection points of said thyristors. Load, pulse transformer primary bridged by inverse diode and current transducer connected via protection unit with control unit are connected to DC bridge diagonal while resistor is set parallel with the load. One end of pulse transformer secondary with reservoir capacitor connected parallel therewith is connected via dinistor to connection point of rectifier bridge and opposite end is connected to that of bridge rectifier diodes.
EFFECT: perfected adjustment characteristic, minimised pulsations, decreased weight and sizes, high power performances.
