SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of water treatment by a crystallisation method and can be used in household activities, food industry and medicine. The method of producing and storage of melt water includes water freezing in a heat insulated vessel 3 until obtaining a mass of cleaned ice, drainage of the liquid concentrate of organic and inorganic admixtures, melting of the ice layer at a positive temperature until producing melt water and its storage at a positive temperature. Cooling, crystallisation of water and thawing of ice are performed by means of contacting to heat-conducting walls of cooling and heating elements 15 located outside the working vessel 3. At the initial stage of melting of the surface layer of ice melt water amounting 3.0-5.0 wt % is drained in the sewerage, and another part of the treated melt water is stored in the heat insaulated vessel 3 in the temperature control mode at its maximum density and temperature of + 40°C.

EFFECT: invention allows providing the improvement of quality of the treated melt water, and also increasing the duration of its storage.
