FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water purification and can be used in everyday life, food industry and medicine. The method involves first water cooling where ambient temperature is lowered to a value not lower than -3°C at a rate of 0.1-0.3 °C/min, and subsequent freezing of water at a rate of 0.05-0.1 °C/min to temperature not below -4°C for complete crystallisation of pure water with impurities and formation of a liquid salt solution with impurities. Further, the salt solution is discharged, the ice mass is heated by gradually raising temperature at a rate of 0.16-0.18°C/min to temperature of +10°C and the ice is held until it completely melts. The water is repeatedly cooled at a rate of 0.1-0.3°C/min to temperature not lower than +2°C and heavy water is held until it completely crystallises. The purified water is discharged through a filter. The apparatus has a housing with a temperature-controlled container with a lid and an inclined bottom with a discharge hole, a thermoelectric module for freezing water and thawing ice with a control unit, a user container for melted ice and a container for water with impurities. The apparatus has pipes with a mechanism for controlling water discharge and the pipes are connected to the discharge hole. The pipes are also connected to each other by a pipe with a fine water filter.
EFFECT: higher quality of purifying water, automation of the process, shorter duration for obtaining the end product, reduced weight and size of the device.
