FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a system for accessing, diagnosing and treating target tissue segments within the middle ear and the eustachean tube. A patient's eustachean tube dilation system comprises a guide catheter, a wire guide and a dilation catheter. The guide catheter is configured to move through the patient's nasal passage and comprises a distal end inserted into or near the patient's eustachean tube opening. The distal portion of the guide catheter has a bend at an angle of 30 to 90 degrees. The distal portion is more flexible in comparison to the proximal portion of the guide catheter. The wire guide is configured to move through the guide catheter so that the distal end of the wire guide can penetrate into the eustachean tube. The dilation catheter is configured to move along the wire guide and comprises the dilator placed inside the eustachean tube for the purpose of dilating the same. The dilation catheter additionally comprises a label on a catheter shank for the approximate arrangement of the dilator in relation of the eustachean tube hole guided by the label distance from the proximal end of the dilator.

EFFECT: invention facilitates introducing the dilation catheter in relation to the eustachean tube hole.
