FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seismic exploration and can be used for exploration of oil and gas fields. The method of hydrocarbon field prospecting is offered which consists in joint action on a geological section by natural electric field and seismic radiation, and reception of fluctuations of both kinds of radiation induced by the named above effects. The signals of natural electric and seismic noises are received in the range 1-20 Hz. These signals are received simultaneously to an electric earthed dipole and a seismic receiver which are located at the same observation point. Both signals are normalized by amplitude and the function of their mutual correlation is calculated, the value and the shape of which witnesses on the presence of productive pool of hydrocarbons.
EFFECT: improvement of accuracy and reliability of survey data.
