FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of production of composite materials (CM) on the basis of a carbon-ceramic matrix and items from it for heat-protection and structural purposes, designed for long-term operation on oxidising media preferably in the temperature range of 800-1500°C. The method to manufacture items from CM with the carbon-ceramic matrix includes impregnation of a frame and/or a stock with a boric acid solution, drying and impregnation with a coke- and/or ceramo-producing polymer, which is a precursor of silicon nitride and/or carbide, with subsequent operations of thermochemical treatment, such as polymer hardening, carbonisation, high-temperature treatment of the stock at temperature of 1300 or 1500°C to produce the carbon-ceramic matrix of high density. In accordance with the proposed technical solution impregnation of the frame and/or porous stock is carried out by heated to 100-120°C concentrated solution of boric acid with subsequent quick cooling down to room temperature and drying to remove water from the stock. High-temperature treatment of the frame or the porous stock impregnated with acid and then with coke- and/or ceramo-forming polymer is preferably carried out in the medium of highly pure nitrogen. Some quantity of repeatedly performed operations of thermomechanical treatment at the final stage of CM production is replaced for formation of small and open porous structure in the carbon stock material pores and subsequent silicification by steam and liquid phase method with silicon delivery to material pores by means of capillary condensation of its vapours.

EFFECT: reduced duration of a cycle of items production from CM with a carbon-ceramic matrix, containing boron compounds, without reduction of items operation reliability in oxidising medium in temperature range of 800-1500 degrees.
