FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass industry, in particular, to the methods for preparing glass batches. The raw materials were co-ground until at least 50% of the ingredients were 10 mcm, the resulting mix was compacted and heated at the rate of 5 to 20°C per minute, avoiding foam formation, to a temperature of 700-1300°C and kept at a maximum temperature for 3 hours maximum. The grinding can be accomplished either by wet or by dry grinding. The batch moisture content for grinding was between 40 and 80%. The dry ground batch was compacted within 1 hour upon completion of grinding process.
EFFECT: achieved microhomogenous glass batch with high melting characteristics, maintaining batch homogeneity, avoiding its stratification, dusting and losses in storage and during transportation.
