FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry and represents an oral film prepared of an aqueous mixture containing: a water-soluble polymer filming agent representing an edible non-ionic cellulose derivative, such as hydroxypropyl cellulose; a bioactive glass; wherein the film is adhesive to at least one tooth in an oral cavity for as much as 60 minutes before the film dissolves or substantially dissolves, and wherein the above film is able to remineralise the teeth. The invention provides the filming process in the aqueous medium by combining the edible non-ionic cellulose derivative with the bioactive glass, which stays relatively intact during the production process and maintains its bioactivity.
EFFECT: film provides the effective dental remineralisation, inhibits the growth of cariogenic and periodontal bacteria on the dental surface and adjacent gingival tissues.
