FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: said invention relates to production of aluminium electrolytic capacitors with high specific charge, in particular to method of production of electrode foil with high developed surface. Method of production of highly-developed surface on recrystallized aluminium electrode foil includes selection on the initial foil as per chronoamperoprpogram with two peaks of etching current by method of potentiostatic testing and further three-stage electrochemical etching of the foil at increased temperature with direct current supply with creation at the first stage of the mainly blind-end main tunnel dimples of the required length directed from the surface through the foil thickness, using water sulphateclorine electrolyte, containing oxidating addition in form of perchlorate and aluminium addition in form of aluminium chloride or sulphate, at the second stage - etching with forming of the directed from surface through the foil thickness blind-end additional tunnel dimples of same length using the same electrolyte, but without oxidating addition, at the third stage - expansion of the diameter of the obtained main and additional tunnel dimples by etching using hydrochrolide water electrolyte in form of aluminium chloride and hydroxide.
EFFECT: increased specific capacity and mechanical strength of the aluminium foil.
