FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes combined vibromilling of a mixture of silicon carbide (71-79 wt %) and phenol-formaldehyde resin (10-25 wt %); mixing the obtained powder with a plasticiser (5-15 wt %); pelletising the mixture; continuous moulding of tubular articles at 80-120°C; preliminary carbonisation to temperature not lower than 500°C at a heating rate of not more than 8°C/h. Final carbonisation to temperature not lower than 900°C is carried out at a heating rate of not more than 75°C/h, followed by siliconisation of the sample.
EFFECT: high heat, radiation and chemical resistance of the articles.
