FIELD: technological processes; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production of items and structural materials on the basis of fiber-reinforced carbon-silicon carbide composite materials. Method includes production of carbon-filled plastic semi-finished product on the basis of carbon reinforced fibers and thermosetting phenol-formaldehyde binder, thermal treatment of polymer matrix with production of coke matrix reinforced with carbon fibers, siliconising of prepared carbon-carbon composite. In the process of carbon-filled plastic semi-finished product production at the first stage carbon reinforcing fiber filler is impregnated with solution of phenol-formaldehyde binder in ethyl alcohol until content of binder is 15-19 wt % and content of carbon reinforcing filler is 85-81 wt %, and at the second stage it is additionally soaked with 30-40% solution of phenol-formaldehyde binder in ethyl alcohol, in which carbon powder is preliminarily added or mixture of silicon carbide powder and carbon powder in the following ratio, wt %: binder 20-50; powders of carbon and silicon carbide 50-80, at that content of carbon powder in mixture of carbon and silicon carbide powders makes from 20 to 60 wt %. Siliconising is carried out immediately after process of polymer matrix carbonisation by means of temperature increase in the furnace from the temperature of polymer matrix carbonisation with formation of coke matrix - 1200°C to the temperature of 1800-2000°C. For production of carbon reinforcing semi-finished product in the form of short fibers after the second stage of impregnation continuous carbon-fiber filler is cut to the size of 5-10 mm. Prepared fiber-reinforced carbon-silicon carbide composite material contains 23-54 wt % of carbon fiber, 4-8 wt % of matrix carbon and 38-73 wt % of silicon carbide.
EFFECT: simplification and reduction of duration of process of production of fiber-reinforced carbon-silicon carbide composite material with increase of its strength and impact viscosity.
